Caretaker Position at Estevan Comprehensive School

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Caretaker to join our team at Estevan Comprehensive School. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school's facilities and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the school's buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and replacements
- Operate tractors, mowers, and other equipment efficiently and safely
- Assist with snow removal and other seasonal tasks
- Perform other duties as required to support the school's operations
- Grade 10 education (Grade 12 or equivalent is preferred)
- Valid Fireman's Certificate to be obtained within the first 12 months of employment
- Valid Driver's License
- Direct experience in the caretaking field would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated understanding of cleaning procedures, cleaning processes, products, and equipment is preferred
- General mechanical/plumbing knowledge and aptitude
- Knowledge of computers and applicable software
- Knowledge of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
- Commitment to the ideals of public education as well as the mission, vision, and guiding principles of the South East Cornerstone School Division
