Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our renovation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing production reports, supervising workers and projects, coordinating activities, overseeing apprenticeship training, recruiting and hiring staff, arranging training, setting up machines and equipment, estimating costs and materials, ensuring health and safety regulations are followed, recommending personnel actions, reading blueprints and drawings, and requisitioning or ordering materials, equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare production reports to track project progress.
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 workers to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to maximize efficiency.
  • Oversight of apprenticeship training programs to develop skilled tradespeople.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage staff to support project needs.
  • Arrange training and professional development opportunities for employees.
  • Set up and maintain machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects to ensure budget compliance.
  • Evaluate and implement measures to ensure health and safety protocols are met.
  • Recommend personnel actions, such as promotions or disciplinary measures.
  • Review blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Procure necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to support project needs.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Overtime may be required.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a regular 40-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,400-$80,000 CAD, based on industry standards and location.
