Job Description:

Job Title: Whitetooth Grill Team Lead

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Whitetooth Grill Team Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our resort's restaurant. This individual will assist the WTG Chef/Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring schedules, as well as assisting with training, coaching, and building a successful and enthusiastic team of employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, and inventory management;
  • Train and develop team members to ensure high-quality service and food preparation;
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols;
  • Contribute to administrative functions, including reporting and special event planning;
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and daily cash consolidation;
  • Recommend and implement changes to achieve Food & Beverage strategies and objectives;
  • Set clear expectations for the team and handle disciplinary issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Serving It Right certification or equivalent;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food, beverages, and service;
  • Experience with cash handling and administration;
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Point-of-Sale software;
  • An education in hospitality management, an asset but not required;
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays;
  • The physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift light objects;
  • The ability to withstand brief exposure to extreme weather conditions in a mountain environment.
