Academic Nursing Faculty Position

Position Summary
The University of Regina invites applications for a full-time tenure track nursing faculty position. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching, including student advising, recruitment, and retention. The candidate will be expected to use a variety of teaching modalities, including offering courses on-site and by distance delivery. A minimum of one graduate degree in Nursing is preferred, and the ability to practice as a nurse practitioner will be considered an asset. The Faculty of Nursing will begin considering candidates in accordance with their hiring process.Key Responsibilities
- Teach nursing courses to undergraduate and graduate students
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of the nursing program
- Conduct research in nursing and publish findings in academic journals
- Advise students and provide mentorship
- Participate in departmental and university service
Requirements
- PhD in Nursing or a related field
- Minimum of one graduate degree in Nursing
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practice
- Ability to practice as a nurse practitioner
