We are seeking a skilled Critical IT Security Specialist to join our team at Randstad Canada. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on IT security and infrastructure through innovative service mapping solutions.

About the Role

As a Critical IT Security Specialist, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive service maps that drive critical application security solutions in ServiceNow. You will work closely with technical experts and engage with stakeholders to design detailed service maps that form the backbone of security mitigation strategies.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with ServiceNow ITOM and other advanced technologies. You will also work alongside skilled professionals in a dynamic, multi-vendor team to enhance your expertise in service mapping, IT infrastructure, and technical debt mitigation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT environments, experience with ServiceNow ITOM & Service Mapping, and a knack for problem-solving in multi-vendor settings. They will also have excellent analytical, planning, organizational, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.

We estimate the salary for this position to be between $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute as part of a team, responsible for delivering service mapping services as part of the technical debt mitigation program.
  • Work with the Service Mapping Lead to complete service maps and other associated deliverables for each application identified by the Technical Debit Mitigation (TDM) program.
  • Collaborate with the Service Mapping Lead to develop a workplan and monitor and report progress.
  • Create and maintain service maps and other associated deliverables within specified quality standards and timelines.
  • Engage and consult with application stakeholders to gather information about their applications, create, refine, and validate service maps and associated deliverables, and respond to questions and enquiries throughout the process.
  • Utilize the ServiceNow application to create and maintain service maps.
Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in having a broad understanding of the technical environment and linkages between systems.
  • 3 years of experience in developing service maps for organizations with complex IT environments and infrastructure.
  • 3 years of experience in supporting application infrastructure and/or software development.
  • 3 years of experience using the ServiceNow application to create and maintain service maps, reports, dashboards, and visual task boards.
  • 3 years of experience working with application stakeholders to gather information about their systems and underlying technology infrastructure.

Desirable Requirements:

  • ITIL Foundations certification.
  • 3 years of experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
  • 2 years of experience within a Public Sector organization.
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Visio or other diagramming software.
  • 3 years of experience with ServiceNow ITOM.
  • 3 years of experience with the TOGAF framework.
  • 3 years of experience in project management and related technical abilities to implement application services on an enterprise scale, with both software and hardware components.
