Digital Communications Officer

Job Summary
The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education department is seeking a skilled Digital Communications Officer to join their team. This permanent full-time position is based out of the La Ronge Central Band Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital communication strategies to engage with stakeholders and promote the band's education initiatives.
- Design and maintain the band's website, ensuring it is user-friendly and meets the needs of the community.
- Write and edit content for the website, social media, and other digital channels.
- Collaborate with the education team to develop and implement communication plans that support the band's education goals.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to improve the band's digital communications.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Immediate Supervisor.
Requirements
- Diploma in Communications, Website development, or other related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in digital communications.
- Basic knowledge in search engine optimization.
- Proven working experience in web programming.
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, object-oriented programming, and web application development.
- Interest in the latest developments in web, news, and social media, as well as passion for the band's mandate and the issues that are important to our members.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task with continually changing timelines and priorities.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Must obtain Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver's Abstract upon hire.
