Digital Communications Specialist

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Permanent Full-Time position based out of the La Ronge Central Band Office.
DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Develop and maintain a website that meets the goals and standards of the LLRIB;
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases;
- Create and maintain software documentation;
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the LLRIB website;
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends;
- Drive to various communities to gather content for the LLRIB website;
- Fix bugs in the LLRIB website;
- Develop and implement social media strategies for community engagement and long-term content promotion;
- Enhance internal and external communication strategies for the LLRIB;
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Communications, Website development, or other related field;
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in digital communications;
- Basic knowledge in search engine optimization;
- Proven working experience in web programming;
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, object-oriented programming, and web application development;
- Interest in the latest developments in web, news, and social media, as well as passion for the LLRIB's mandate and the issues that are important to our members;
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task with continually changing timelines and priorities;
- Valid Driver's License;
- Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver's Abstract upon hire;
