Your Role


We are seeking a Senior Financial Planner to join our Wealth Management practice. The successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:



  • Identify complex financial planning needs and solutions for clients
  • Serve as a resource for clients with complex financial needs
  • Develop recommendations and identify areas of opportunity to assist clients in achieving their financial goals
  • Execute the financial planning cycle by creating, editing and proofing financial plans
  • Execute and manage the discovery and delivery process with clients
  • Liaise between investment dealers, accountants, lawyers and insurance professionals
  • Other Financial Planning tasks including meeting preparation, RRSP, RESP and TFSA account tracking, research assignments, preparing report packages and completing data entry in financial planning software

What We Look for in a Candidate


We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates BDO's core values and understands client's industry, challenges, and opportunities. You should be able to identify, recommend, and focus on effective service delivery to clients.


Requirements


The successful candidate should have a CFP designation and ideally 5-7 years of experience in the wealth/financial planning industry. You should be inquisitive, have strong analytical and problem solving skills, and be able to work well independently with minimal supervision.
