Store Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Mastermind Toys in Langford, BC. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of retail professionals to achieve financial and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Profitability: Demonstrate sound retail business acumen and lead the achievement of expected business and financial objectives through planning, communicating, implementing, and assessing actions that contribute to the profitability, success, and growth of the store.
  • People: Plan and organize the recruitment and selection of qualified people using established processes to adequately staff the store in a manner that enhances the store's reputation and maintains a positive, honest, and respectful workplace culture.
  • Store Operations: Plan, manage, and lead the communication of expectations to the team related to the provision of best practice for store operations activities, ensuring that decisions result in shopping experiences that are better than expected.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education preferred in retail management.
  • Three to five years retail management level experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of retail professionals to meet or exceed financial and customer expectations.
  • Able to deliver profitability, promote growth and development of the store.
  • Excellent leadership skills required. Strong and clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional quality customer-focused sales assistance, interest in Mastermind product.
  • Proficiency using business, POS, and inventory software.
