Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Account Executive, your primary duties will include:
• Demonstrating a deep understanding of the Quebec news and media landscape, identifying opportunities to pitch client stories to shrinking newsrooms.
• Researching, compiling, and analyzing the media landscape as it pertains to technology and business influencers and outlets.
• Writing, editing, and proofreading materials such as press releases, pitch letters, fact sheets, and client correspondence.
• Building lists and pitching media outlets to secure coverage for our clients.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective communications strategies that meet client objectives.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices through continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• 1-3 years of experience in earned media or communications, preferably working on enterprise technology, gaming, gadgets, or consumer technology client files.
• Excellent knowledge of the media landscape in Quebec, including key players, influencers, and outlets.
• Media relations experience and an ability to showcase media results with proactive analysis of message pull-through, tone of coverage, etc.
• A solid grasp of basic public relations tools, including media monitoring and coverage analysis.
• Fundamental understanding of media outreach assignments and the ability to apply experience and initiative to develop appropriate media strategies.
• Excellent writing skills across various formats and media.
• Great references from past employers.
• Fluency in both French and English, with a deep understanding of Quebecois culture.
What We Offer
As a Senior Account Executive at Edelman Canada, you can expect a competitive salary of $85,000-$105,000 per year, depending on experience.
