Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Dispatcher to join our team at TRIDENT TRANSPORTATION INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Management: Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Workload Management: Monitor personnel workloads and locations to optimize resource allocation and minimize delays.
  • Communication: Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems, and assist with the maintenance of communications equipment.
  • Dispatch and Scheduling: Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, and follow up on issues with work orders to ensure timely completion.
  • Logistics and Administration: Maintain accurate records of shipments, vehicle operator work records, and other relevant data.
  • Radio Operations: Operate radio equipment to communicate with vehicle operators and crews.
  • Information Processing: Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews.
  • Expense Tracking: Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Team Collaboration: Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
