About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Marcantonio Designs Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the framing and installation of wood structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blueprint Reading and Layout

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.

Woodworking and Installation

Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create precise and durable structures.

Site Management and Supervision

Schedule and coordinate work on sites, instruct apprentices, and supervise other workers to ensure efficient and safe working practices.

Maintenance and Renovation

Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments, including commercial and industrial settings.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 to less than 7 months of experience, or equivalent experience.

Work Environment

Work in a noisy and dusty environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Physical Capabilities

Ability to handle heavy loads, work under tight deadlines, and maintain a physically demanding workload.

Personal Suitability

Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, and a team player attitude.

Working Conditions
  • Transportation and Travel

Public transportation is available for commuting to work sites.

Work Hours and Language

Work 35 hours per week, with English as the primary language of communication.
