We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at the Town of Edson. As a key member of our detachment, you will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to our community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide information and assistance to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and data, utilizing various automated systems and manual filing systems.
- Process and handle emergency communications, including 911 calls and notifications to responders.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as receiving and recording monies, preparing invoices, and handling petty cash.
- Provide administrative support to regular members, including radio contact and data retrieval.
- Assist with the storage and safekeeping of exhibits and evidence, as assigned.
- Transcribe internal and external correspondence, and action ATIP requests under the guidance of the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Detachment Commander.
- Two years of post-secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to the position.
- Ability to produce and process various correspondence, transcribe, and maintain office systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain composed under stressful situations.
- Ability to make logical and practical decisions, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be capable of dealing with highly sensitive materials and maintaining extreme confidentiality.
- Portray a professional image conducive to a law enforcement environment.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary range of $29.15-$38.30 per hour. The expected hours of work are 40 per week, with a Monday to Friday schedule. The Town of Edson offers a comprehensive benefits package, including company events, company pension, dental care, disability insurance, employee assistance program, extended health care, life insurance, on-site parking, paid time off, vision care, and wellness program.
