Job Description

**Temporary Full-Time Co-op/Intern Position**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Applications Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics. As a Co-op Applications Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on measuring the typical performance of our RF PLL devices on the bench, requiring extensive lab work and scripting, as well as interacting with cross-functional teams to achieve the best performance possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and analyze frequency domain signals, including phase noise, BODE plots, FFTs, and spectrum analysis.
  • Operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
  • Develop and implement Python scripts to automate testing and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of frequency domain signals analysis.
  • Experience with lab equipment and Python programming.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PLL architecture and closed-loop control systems.
  • Understanding of transmission line effects and termination schemes.
  • Soldering and reworking experience.
Education

Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Coursework in circuit analysis and control system theory.
