Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Applications Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics Corporation. As a Co-op Applications Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with our flagship timing devices for the wireless and data center markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure the typical performance of our phase locked loop (PLL) devices on the bench and automate this measurement using Python scripting.
  • Work extensively in the lab, utilizing oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and function generators to analyze frequency domain signals.
  • Develop a strong understanding of PLL architecture, transmission line effects, and termination schemes.
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement lab automation techniques using Python.
Requirements
  • Working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Coursework in circuit analysis and control system theory.
  • Good understanding of frequency domain signals analysis, including BODE plots and FFTs.
  • Experience with lab equipment and Python programming.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
