Business Operations Manager

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Business Operations Manager to join our team at the Co. Innovation Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our facility, including managing the cutting-edge space, overseeing the tech infrastructure, and implementing sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the facility, including coordinating repairs, planning improvements, and ensuring the environment sparks creativity and productivity.
  • Implement top-notch security protocols, manage access control systems, and develop emergency response plans to ensure everyone's safety.
  • Oversee the tech infrastructure by working with the managed network service provider to ensure seamless internet and IT services, regularly auditing and enhancing systems.
  • Champion green practices by implementing energy-efficient solutions and recycling programs to make operations eco-friendly.
  • Develop and enforce policies that streamline operations and ensure compliance with the latest regulations and industry standards.
  • Align operational goals with strategic vision, track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives for long-term success.
  • Oversee the operational budget, manage expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.

Requirements:

  • Education in business administration, operations management, hospitality management, or a related field, or equivalent experiences.
  • Proven experience in facility management, demonstrating expertise and resilience.
  • Excellent communication and partnership-building skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and understand operational processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools like SharePoint, Teams, and others.
  • Ability to drive operational improvements, uncover efficiencies, and lead successful initiatives.
  • Experience in increasing equity, diversity, and inclusion in groups such as Indigenous people, women, and 2SLGBTQIA+, visible minorities, and racialized people, and/or people living in rural areas is an asset.
