We are a dynamic and growing culinary team at The Chef Mom, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our kitchen team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and organized cook to prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding.
Key Responsibilities- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet customer demands.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize kitchen operations.
The cook will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work extended periods on their feet.
Support for Newcomers and RefugeesWe offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees, providing a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Support for YouthsWe offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth, helping them develop their culinary skills and career aspirations.Support for Indigenous People
We offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting cultural understanding and career advancement.
This is a permanent position, working 30 to 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
