**Job Summary**

The Tool Crib Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining and controlling our computerized inventory and ensuring controlled access to tools, parts, and materials in stores for the AMT program at Northern Lights College.

This position involves implementing and maintaining a servicing and maintenance program relevant to aircraft maintenance industry standard, the NLC Training Policy Manual (TPM) and Training Operations Manual (TOM).

The successful candidate will work closely with instructors to orient students to the Aircraft Management System and support students in gaining an understanding of tool crib procedures. They will also track the inventory of parts and supplies on an as-needed basis, taking into consideration minimums and maximums, as well as costing and purchasing.

**Responsibilities**

  • Maintain and control computerized inventory
  • Provide controlled access to tools, parts, and materials in stores
  • Implement and maintain a servicing and maintenance program
  • Work with instructors to orient students to the Aircraft Management System
  • Track inventory of parts and supplies
  • Conduct costing and purchasing

**Requirements**

  • Completion of Grade 12
  • Fundamental knowledge of and/or background in the management of tools and mechanical parts
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and proficiency with the current version of Microsoft Office
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 40 pounds (18 kg)

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Mechanical abilities with previous Warehousing/Parts experience
  • An ordering min/max system
