Drywall Installation Job Description

Galaxy Homes is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets in commercial and residential settings. Your duties will include measuring, cutting, and fitting drywall sheets, as well as applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish
  • Apply successive coats of compound to drywall seams and joints
  • Sand seams and joints to a smooth finish
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
Work Environment:

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, including commercial and residential construction sites. You will be required to work at heights, in dusty and noisy environments, and outdoors. You will also be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty and noisy environments, and outdoors
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
