Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Galaxy Homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to meet specifications, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet project requirements
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty environments, and outdoors
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work in a team
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings, including commercial, residential, rural, and urban areas. The work will involve working at heights, in dusty environments, and outdoors.
