Civil Structural Engineering Department Manager

Equinox Engineering Ltd. is a leading EPCM firm specializing in facilities design, implementation, and operational assistance for natural gas, conventional oil, heavy oil, carbon capture, and pipeline projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineering Department Manager to oversee the strategic direction, development, and management of our civil engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Civil Structural Engineering department, ensuring successful project delivery and effective department operation.
  • Hire, train, and mentor engineers and supporting staff to develop a high-performing team.
  • Estimate engineering hours and manage civil scope for projects, ensuring client requirements are met.
  • Provide designs for various project sizes, from well pads to large plants, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and international locations to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain civil department standards, procedures, and specifications.
  • Ensure proper distribution of project information to all team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest technologies and materials, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate staff remuneration, performance reviews, and training.
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Health and Safety program.
  • Assist with business development and client relationships.
Requirements:
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in Canada.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with specialization in Structures.
  • Minimum 20+ years of oil and gas experience, preferably with EPCM background.
