We are looking for a Technical Compliance Specialist to join our team at one of our clients, an investment bank in Montreal.

Job Description

The Technical Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in developing and maintaining application packages that support compliance applications built in-house.

You will be part of a cross-functional team spread across multiple locations, supporting compliance business partners in the AMER region.

  • Perform data analysis, liaise with business and IT teams to initiate and drive project requirements, manage backlog prioritization and delivery.
  • Perform UAT, understand databases, perform basic queries, troubleshoot issues, and solve problems.

Key responsibilities include:

Project Management
  • Take ownership of critical projects and drive Operating and Steering committee meetings.
  • Coordinate with global teams (AMER & Asia) and drive project priorities.
  • Lead project sprints, scrum meetings, and release meetings with different stakeholders.
Compliance and Regulatory Needs
  • Understand compliance and regulatory needs of the bank and contribute to design and architecture meetings of compliance applications.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Mandatory skills and qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of technology behind banking applications.
  • Problem-solving and ability to discuss solutions with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management skills and experience.
  • Scrum master/Product owner experience and JIRA task management.
  • Previous work experience in JAVA-based banking applications and cloud technologies.
  • SQL and Big Data databases.
  • Experience dealing with large volumes of data and data analysis.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note: Salary is negotiable based on individual qualifications and performance.
