Job Opportunity:

The Alberta Children's Hospital is a dynamic and collaborative workplace that provides exceptional care to children and their families. We are seeking a highly skilled Neuropsychologist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our Neuropsychology Service, you will be responsible for providing advanced clinical services, consultation, and education to our interprofessional team and patients/families. You will work collaboratively to provide and inform services for patients with complex medical, psychological, and developmental needs. You will also lead, facilitate, and participate in program development, service planning, staff development, quality improvement, and evaluation activities. This role may provide supervision to doctoral-level psychology residents, masters-level interns, and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced clinical services, including neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention
  • Consult and collaborate with the interprofessional team to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Develop and lead educational programs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Participate in program development, service planning, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members

Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency and post-doctoral fellowship program in Neuropsychology
  • Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists
  • Experience working in a pediatric hospital setting and with patients with acquired brain injury
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working collaboratively in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles and practices
  • Language proficiency in multiple languages
