Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Neuropsychologist to join our team at the Alberta Children's Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced clinical services, consultation, and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to children and adolescents with complex developmental, medical, and behavioral difficulties. You will work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement evidence-based practices, ensuring that our services are aligned with psychology standards of practice and code of ethics.
Responsibilities:- Provide advanced clinical services, including neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to children and adolescents with complex developmental, medical, and behavioral difficulties.
- Consult and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct research and participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of pediatric neuropsychology.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, including doctoral-level psychology residents and masters-level interns.
- Doctoral degree in Psychology from a Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) or American Psychological Association (APA) program.
- Successful completion of an accredited residency program and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship program in Neuropsychology.
- Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
- Experience working in a pediatric hospital setting and with children and adolescents with complex developmental, medical, and behavioral difficulties.
- Demonstrated clinical experience and research productivity in acquired brain injury, concussion, moderate-to-severe traumatic brain injury, and stroke in a pediatric hospital setting.
- Experience working collaboratively in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in multiple languages and linguistic diversity considered an asset.
