Kitchen Team Lead - Food Preparation and Service
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and skilled Kitchen Team Lead to join our team at District 5 Bar & Grill Limited. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation and service, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and that customer satisfaction is consistently met.
Responsibilities:- Determine portion sizes and costs for menu items, planning menus and estimating food requirements to meet demand.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining inventory and records to ensure efficient ordering and storage.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and helpers, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to prepare high-quality dishes.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent culinary skills, with ability to prepare a variety of dishes and manage food preparation processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to train and motivate staff.
This is a permanent position working 35-40 hours per week. English is the primary language used in the workplace.
Salary and Benefits:The estimated salary for this role is $40,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
