Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) seeks a highly skilled Chief Project Officer and Executive Director to lead the planning, development, and implementation of large-scale capital projects. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer & Vice President, this role is responsible for overseeing a regional or Community of Care portfolio of planning, projects, and real estate priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic facility plans for the region and site-specific master plans for each facility aligned with the Community of Care's vision, mission, and goals.
  • Manage financial resources to meet initiatives, goals, and targets of the strategic and operating plans.
  • Ensure effective interface with Community of Care Senior Leadership, Program Directors, User Groups, and other organizational leadership and professionals.
  • Support the Community of Care Executive and Project teams in the development of long-range facility plans, projects, and procurement of contractors.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Ten to fifteen years' recent related experience in progressively more complex and senior management/leadership roles in a large complex health care organization.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other related accounting procedures/principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, direct, and implement processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and mitigate risk.
