Job Summary

Providence Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit team. As a RN Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Coronary, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practice and clinical judgment.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating patient and family education, and promoting health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimize patient outcomes.
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Document patient information, including assessments, plans, and progress, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Support and mentor new staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of a post-graduate critical care course or one year of recent critical care experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to apply decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Ability to role model conflict resolution strategies.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
