As a RN Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Coronary, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using evidence-based practice and clinical judgment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating patient and family education, and promoting health and wellness.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Document patient information, including assessments, plans, and progress, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Support and mentor new staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Current practicing registration as a BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Completion of a post-graduate critical care course or one year of recent critical care experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to apply decision-making and analytical skills.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to role model conflict resolution strategies.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
