Laymoon Restaurant & Cafe is seeking a skilled Master Baker and Pastry Chef to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our baking department. As a Master Baker and Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other sweet goods.
Key Responsibilities- Baking Operations:
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Bake mixed dough and batters to ensure high-quality products.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
- Education:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience:
- 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Work Setting:
- Cafe.
This role requires standing for extended periods, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, physically demanding work, repetitive tasks, and working under pressure.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include free parking available, permanent work term, English work language, and 30 to 40 hours of work per week.
