About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Akton Builders Inc. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other workers
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
