Strategic Healthcare Project Lead

Job Overview
The Strategic Healthcare Project Lead will play a vital role in supporting the planning and coordination of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. This position will lead the integration of quality improvement projects and initiatives, ensuring consistent, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and lead quality improvement projects that enhance patient care and services.
- Develop project plans, monitor progress, and report on timely execution.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, selecting and orienting team members as needed.
- Assess and review project plans and progress to ensure achievement of project goals and objectives.
- Identify effective processes and key performance indicators, and support the achievement of project goals.
- Ensure projects consider patient safety and accreditation standards.
- Provide coaching and build health service provider capacity to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work as part of a dynamic team, allocated to one or more projects or initiative teams focused on quality improvement.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience as a project manager in a healthcare environment or managing quality improvement projects.
- 2 years of experience leading organizational change management in the introduction of new system-wide business processes or changes to organizational structure and culture.
- 3 years of experience with quality improvement methods and tools, business and systems analysis.
Education
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline such as health, business, or public administration.
- Formal training in organizational change initiatives and quality improvement is an asset.
Working Environment
The successful candidate will work in a typical computerized office environment, with frequent meetings and the ability to lift and carry items up to 10 kg. Travel to other healthcare facilities throughout the province may be required.
