About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Specialist to join our team.

This role will be responsible for ensuring that safety standards are executed on Recurrent Energy Projects and operational facilities (O&M).

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) programs, plans, risk registers, and management system components
  • Conduct compliance monitoring on OHS-related project activities against Recurrent Energy and contractor-specific programs, plans, and procedural requirements
  • Work with the legal department to ensure sub-contracts obligate contractors for insurance obligations according to regional jurisdiction requirements
  • Ensure project insurances, corporate general liability, professional liability, workers' compensation, and other insurance policies are implemented effectively and adequately
  • Document/record safety data pertaining to project oversight activity through internal information management systems
Requirements
  • At least 3-5 years of OHS experience in an equivalent role within construction project or other civil or environmental remediation experience
  • College diploma or university degree within an OHS or related field from an accredited program
  • Technical expertise on lithium-ion batteries, high-voltage electrical equipment, and construction safety
  • CRSP or CMIOSH designations an asset

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.

This is a full-time position with occasional travel required.
