Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide quality Speech-Language Pathology services to patients, consistent with professional standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prevention, identification, evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, counseling, treatment, management, and education of communication and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Conduct research and participate in quality improvement initiatives to advance the field of Speech-Language Pathology.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba (CASLPM).
- Membership in professional organizations such as Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements.
- Previous experience working with relevant populations.
- Competency in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
This is a term position with a 0.80 FTE and an anticipated start date of ASAP. The successful candidate will be required to work extended hours and may be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress, etc.
