Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at McMaster Children's Hospital. As a critical care specialist, you will provide medical and surgical care to children and their families across southern Ontario.

Schedule Work Hours

You will work in various specialized areas, including the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), inpatient wards, and the Pediatric Emergency Department. Opportunities exist to complete advanced training to work within the Pediatric Critical Care Response Team (PACE) and become a member of the Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $38.35 - $53.28 per hour, based on location and experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
  • Current Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
  • Successful Completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care (CBRC) exam
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or willingness to complete within six (6) months of start date
  • Minimum two (2) years recent experience in a pediatric setting
  • Current pediatric critical care experience preferred
