About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at McMaster Children's Hospital. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to pediatric patients in our intensive care units and emergency department.

Job Summary

This is a temporary full-time position until May 2025. The ideal candidate will have current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario, experience engaging in continuous quality improvement initiatives, and a willingness to precept respiratory therapy clinical students.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced respiratory care to pediatric patients in intensive care units and emergency department
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
  • Precept respiratory therapy clinical students

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy
  • Current Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
  • Experience engaging in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Willingness to precept respiratory therapy clinical students
