About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Assistant - Special Needs to join our team at Riverside Primary School. As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of educational programs for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in implementing specialized education programs, including occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physiotherapy programs.
  • Support the delivery of planned education programs, including the operation of computers and digital technologies.
  • Implement individual student or small group programs or demonstrations, and provide feedback on education and therapy programs.
  • Participate in the evaluation process relating to the achievement of goals in special education.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with complex behavior.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
