About This Role

As a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist at Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies and interpreting data to diagnose and treat sleep disorders. Your expertise will help patients achieve restful sleep and improve their overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct polysomnograms for the diagnosis and treatment of central and obstructive sleep disorders
  • Titrate and manage positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy
  • Perform various tests involving non-invasive techniques, including electroencephalography, electrooculography, electromyography, electrocardiography, multiple sleep latency and respiratory tracings
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma in a healthcare discipline or completion of a STAR-designated Focused education program approved by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
  • A minimum of one year's recent experience in sleep study work or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR-C)
