About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Pizza 64. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and cleanliness in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Prepare and cook simple food items, such as heating and finishing dishes.
  • Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods for customer consumption.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients and supplies.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Must be able to work a 40-hour week, with flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
