Biological Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biological Scientist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting experiments and research in plant or animal growth, heredity, and breeding.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists, and other professionals.
- Conduct molecular or biochemical studies and experiments in genetic expression, gene manipulation, and recombinant DNA technology to develop new or alternative methods of producing products.
- Conduct research into the structure, function, ecology, biotechnology, and genetics of micro-organisms, including bacteria, fungi, protozoans, and algae.
- Prepare research papers, educational texts, or articles.
- Conduct literature reviews.
- Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
- 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
- Urban area work setting.
