Job Title: Stores and Distribution Attendant

Job Summary:

The Stores and Distribution Attendant plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution network. This position is responsible for organizing and prioritizing internal requisitions, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and supplies to various sites and departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and prioritize internal requisitions from multiple sites and departments, maintaining accurate records and data entry into our computerized system.
  • Maintain the cart top-up system, checking supply levels, entering requisition data, and replenishing carts or trolleys as needed.
  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming goods and materials, ensuring they meet specifications and complete related paperwork.
  • Maintain inventory records for carts, trolleys, and stores shelving, labeling, and updating data as directed.
  • Marshal supplies and equipment in loading or temporary storage areas, assembling loads, loading carts, bins, and trolleys, and transporting goods to designated areas.
  • Identify and return damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers, completing necessary documentation.
  • Deliver, pick up, ship, and transport supplies and equipment, adhering to WHMIS and TDG regulations, and completing required documentation.
  • Perform routine inspection and maintenance functions on vehicles and equipment, including securing loads, cleaning, checking, lubricating, and topping up fluids, and maintaining vehicle documentation.
  • Participate in inventory activities and perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12, one year of recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license.
  • Effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal effectively with others.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
