Build your career with Pomerleau Construction as a highly skilled VDC Innovation Manager. As a key member of our Innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the future of design and construction by supporting project teams to thrive with cutting-edge VDC tools and methods.

This exciting opportunity allows you to work on large-scale construction projects, ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion. You will have the chance to explore and support project growth and execution through BIM (Building Information Modelling) and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction).

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and leading a team of VDC coordinators
  • Coordinating BIM/VDC services across multiple building projects
  • Developing and setting clear expectations for team members, providing mentorship and coaching on best practices and career development
  • Mastery of various project delivery methods (Design-Build, PPP, etc.)
  • Writing and reviewing BIM management and execution plans per ISO 19650
  • Implementing and overseeing the BIM process and ensuring continuous development
  • Promoting a learning environment and innovation in the construction field
  • Organizing tasks, ensuring quality and deadlines, and reporting to the Innovation Manager

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • An educational background in construction engineering, civil engineering or architecture, or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in work coordination, BIM project management in the construction industry, and resource management
  • Proficiency in software such as Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revizto, BIMTrack, ESRI ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Project/Primavera tools)
  • A solid understanding of common data environments (CDEs) and IFC and openBIM file formats
  • Excellent technical knowledge of building mechanics and construction
  • Fluency in both official languages written and oral (English and French)

Pomerleau offers an attractive salary range of approximately $80,000 - $120,000 per year, based on qualifications and location.
