Role Overview

As a skilled Train System Engineer at 3M Consultancy, you will play a key role in designing and implementing cutting-edge train systems. With a strong background in engineering and a passion for innovation, you will contribute to the development of efficient and reliable transportation solutions.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced engineer with expertise in system architecture, requirements management, and technical specifications. Your primary responsibilities will include defining train architectures, managing requirements, sizing systems, writing specifications, and ensuring consistency across teams and suppliers.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in General or Electrical Engineering and have over four years of experience in the industry. Strong collaboration skills, effective communication, and analytical abilities are essential for success in this position. Proficiency in English is required, and we encourage applications from candidates who can communicate independently in this language.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Define train architectures, operating modes, and functions based on internal and external requirements.
2. Oversee requirements from business needs, standards, safety, and customer specifications throughout the train's lifecycle.
3. Size systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
4. Draft specifications for subsystems and equipment developed internally or externally.
5. Ensure system consistency and compatibility among suppliers and internal teams regarding interfaces and expected performance.
6. Collaborate with specialists from various disciplines.
7. Uphold applicable technical standards and configurations.
8. Prepare documentation for clients and participate in technical reviews upon request.
9. Develop train-level test specifications and ensure the integration and development of functions.
10. Define and execute functional and performance checks in collaboration with validation teams, both on the bench and on delivered trains.
11. Address and resolve technical anomalies and challenges.
12. Assist in risk management and optimization to ensure proper technical development progress.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year

This compensation range is estimated based on industry standards and takes into account factors such as location, experience, and qualifications.
