The position of Harness Assembly Technician is part of our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office and is responsible for the assembly of harnesses under the supervision of experienced assemblers. The technician will also perform duties as a production and general helper.

Responsibilities:

  • Crimp contacts and perform wire pull tests.
  • Terminate connectors (D-Sub/HD).
  • Prepare cables and wires.
  • Make harnesses.
  • Mechanically assemble connectors and backshells.
  • Tin components.
  • Prepare, handle, and use polymer products for bonding components.
  • Any other related duties.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Reading of drawings.
  • Knowledge of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
  • Ability to retrieve and enter computer data using a computer system.
  • Use of production databases.
  • Good knowledge of French.
  • Fine manual dexterity.
  • Education: Asset - Secondary school vocational diploma in a relevant field.
  • Experience: None to two (2) years of experience required.
  • Linguistic Level: Good knowledge of French. Basic knowledge of English is an asset.
