Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Killam Health Centre. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will be responsible for performing procedures in both the laboratory and diagnostic imaging departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze biological specimens
  • Conduct X-ray examinations, ECGs, and other diagnostic tests
  • Prepare patients for procedures and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results
Requirements
  • Completion of a diploma in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology from an accredited program
  • Active registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists
  • Recent experience in laboratory and diagnostic imaging, including hospital-affiliated training programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent experience with laboratory equipment, including ACL Elite Pro and Sysmex XS 1000i
  • Experience with diagnostic imaging equipment, including Carestream DRX Ascend X-ray System
  • Knowledge of laboratory information systems and electronic medical records
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedures
