Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our Developmental Disabilities Mental Health Services team, you will provide direct and indirect rehabilitation services to clients with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy services to clients, including assessment, intervention, consultation, education, and support services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to address clients' sensory processing and occupational performance needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Provide education and training to clients, families, and healthcare professionals on occupational therapy and sensory interventions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
  • Two years' recent experience working in a mental health or developmental disabilities setting, with experience implementing sensory interventions.
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
  • Eligibility for membership in the British Columbia Society of Occupational Therapists (BCSOT) and/or the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
