Job Title: Food Preparation and Service Specialist

About the Job: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Food Preparation and Service Specialist to join our team at Subway.

Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a candidate who can sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand with efficiency and care.
  • The ideal candidate will have the ability to package take-out food safely and effectively.
  • Portioning and wrapping foods to meet customer expectations is crucial to this role.
  • The successful candidate will be able to prepare, heat and finish simple food items to a high standard.
  • Serving customers at counters or buffet tables with a smile is essential to providing excellent customer service.
  • Stocking refrigerators and salad bars in a timely manner is key to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Taking customers' orders accurately and efficiently is vital to ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • The ideal candidate will use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs with precision and care.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment, is an essential part of this role.
  • Handling and storing cleaning products safely and responsibly is crucial to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Receiving, unpacking and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas is a vital responsibility.
  • Removing kitchen garbage and trash in a timely manner is essential to maintaining a clean and healthy workplace.
  • Sweeping, mopping, washing and polishing floors to a high standard is critical to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruit with care and attention to detail is essential to preparing high-quality food products.

About You:

We are looking for a team player who is physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure. A client-focused approach and reliability are essential qualities for this role.
