Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the risk control function on capital projects for our Federal Government clients. This role requires a trusted advisor who can build strong, lasting relationships with senior leaders and decision makers.

Your Role

In this position, you will lead projects varying in scope and complexity, delivering capital projects that meet the needs of our clients. You will be part of a dynamic and client-oriented professional environment, providing consulting services to owners.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Demonstrate company values and cultural behaviors, lead development of Assistant Project Managers, delegate and empower Assistant Project Managers, build a personal brand.
  • Growth: Grow sales inside existing accounts, find opportunities to cross-line selling in accounts you manage, grow your Fee Income Managed on your projects.
  • Management: Manage project delivery teams to deliver the quality required by the client, manage implementation of the work breakdown structure, escalate project deliver and commercial/financial issues to Project Lead.
  • Quality: Implement all work on your projects in accordance with our Quality Management System, responsible for Client Satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • University or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar project management or advisory role, consulting to public sector clients.
  • Experience overseeing the entire risk management process for a portfolio of projects.
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, PMI-RM, CET, Registered Architect or other similar industry-recognized designation is considered a strong asset.
  • A broad consulting skill set including strong presentation and stakeholder management, business case and report writing, and organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong project controls and analytical skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and external industry subject matter experts.
  • Proficiency in working with Project Management Information Systems/Project Controls Softwares (Primavera P6, Crytal Ball, Procore, Unifier).
  • Must hold or be eligible for valid Government Security clearance at the Reliability or Secret level.
