We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, with a strong understanding of SAP Ariba/Oracle ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint. They will be a dedicated team player with well-established interpersonal and client-facing skills, strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiating, issuing, and administering purchase orders and contracts through predetermined procedures.
  • Ensuring proper documentation of suppliers is in place.
  • Ensuring Purchase Orders are acknowledged and accepted by vendors.
  • Providing support to project managers and engineers to direct them towards the correct procedures for preparing a contract, purchase order, etc.
Requirements:
  • 2-5 years purchasing or procurement experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP Ariba/Oracle ERP systems.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office products such as Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
  • Dedicated team player with well-established interpersonal and client-facing skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this role is $73,000-$113,000, based on the national average salary range for a Senior Procurement Specialist in Canada. The actual compensation package offered will depend on factors such as the candidate's level of experience, qualifications, and performance.
