**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Cost Control Coordinator to join our team at Scarborough Transit Connect. This individual will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our project cost/control systems, ensuring the smooth operation of our project finance tracking and monitoring.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • This role involves assisting in the implementation and management of project accounting systems, including cost codes, job cost processing procedures, and project rules of credit.
  • The successful candidate will generate and maintain all required project status reports for internal stakeholders and external customers, highlighting project performance and progress.
  • They will review and analyze cost reports, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to maintain the project within budget.
  • In addition, the Cost Control Coordinator will provide support to the project team in budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accurate reflection of project status.
  • They will be responsible for developing quantity bases for assumptions and forecasting budgets, as well as performing data analysis to identify problems and suggest corrective actions.
  • The successful candidate will ensure compliance with contract conditions, including invoicing, reporting, change management, and project closeout.
  • Finally, they will create and implement measurement systems for processes, analyze performance metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement.

**Requirements**

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in project controls construction is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting systems, controller account codes, and an understanding of controller instructions impacting project controls is necessary.
  • A college or university degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is required.
  • A strong understanding of Project Management and Cost Controls principles is an asset.
  • Aptitude in producing, reading, and manipulating schedules and scheduling curves/reports is an asset.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure work environment are essential.
  • Experience with Hard Dollar/InEight and SAP ERP systems is an asset.
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel is necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, are required.
