About Us:

Scarborough Transit Connect (STC) is a joint venture between Aecon and FCC Canada Ltd. that was selected by Metrolinx to deliver the Scarborough Subway Extension – Stations, Rails and Systems (SRE-SRS) package.

The Scarborough Subway Extension will bring the TTC's Line 2 subway service nearly eight kilometers farther into Scarborough.

We are currently looking for a Cost Control Coordinator to join our team.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in developing, establishing, and maintaining project cost/control systems.
  • Assist in monitoring project accounting systems (cost codes, job cost processing procedures, project rules of credit).
  • Monitor project performance and ensure that the project control system is properly implemented.
  • Generate/Maintain all required project status reports for internal management and for the customer.
  • Assist in reviewing and generating/analyzing cost reports and suggesting corrective actions to maintain the project within anticipated budget.
  • Provide support to the project team in budget and forecast management during execution to accurately reflect project status.
  • Develop quantity bases for assumptions and/or during forecasting budget.
  • Perform data analysis, identify problems, and make recommendations.
  • Apply contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) for project set-up, project tracking and reporting, and project closeout.
  • Create and implement measurement systems for given processes, analyze performance metric results, and identify improvements.

Experience You Bring:

  • 4+ years of related project controls construction experience.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes and an understanding of Controller instructions.
  • College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Applied knowledge of Project Management and Cost Controls principles is an asset.
  • Ability to produce, read and manipulate schedules and scheduling curves/reports an asset.
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
