Job Title: Structured Cabling Technician

Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled Structured Cabling Technician to join our team. As a key member of our telecommunications team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including trunking systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access and repair equipment.
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to minimize downtime.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure seamless communication.
  • Analyze test results and instrument readings to identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate work assignments and ensure successful project completion.
Requirements:
  • College/CEGEP education in a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
